Purpose of this site
SECCRA is trying to increase recycling of items that are still useful, but not to the original owner. All too often, people have asked us, "Why don't you have a place where I can drop my item, and anyone who wants it can take it?" Unfortunately, SECCRA does not have the space or manpower to manage such a program. However, since there definitely is a public need, we have chosen to provide this service on-line.

Who we are
We are the Southeastern Chester County Refuse Authority, or SECCRA. We were formed in 1968 for the purpose of handling the solid waste generated by the citizens of its service area. SECCRA operates the SECCRA Community Landfill in Chatham, and also provides recycling services throughout the area. Click here to learn more about the Authority. Landfill space is not unlimited, and the less waste disposed in the landfill, means it will last us longer.

Anyone who resides in the SECCRA service area. Click here for a map.

How to navigate the site
Navigation of this site can be done by using the menu on the left. To search items, please use the search form at the top of each page.

Rules for posting
No profanity, no porn, etc. Items for sale can not be more than $50.

Privacy policy
We collect information through the new user registration form. When you register, we ask for information such as your name, phone number (which is optional), and email address. This personal information that you provide will not be sold, shared, or accessible to anyone.

How to post
If you are a member, simply use the Members Login page to login and then proceed to the List an Item page and fill out the required form. If you are not a member, visit the New User Registration page and fill out the required form to become a member of SECCRA Swap. After completing registration, proceed to the List an Item page to list an item.

How to delete
Visit the Manage Ads page to deactivate an item. All items posted will be on the site for 4 weeks.
